Poker night in Prague

Mikkel visited me in Prague a couple of years ago and we had a great time seeing the city, sampling the food and of course the beers. Saturday when he was there Patrick and Sasha had organized a poker night for the boys and we went over to play. We started out with getting a bunch of pizzas delivered and catching up. Mikkel had not met any of the other guys before so he told them about his poker experience and how he has tried to play online poker a couple of times with good success.

Anyways the mood was light as we dug into playing and the beers were rolling out the fridge. Everyone was chatting in the beginning. After a couple of rounds the mood intensified as first me and later Hermann ran out of chips.

Will he call

The chip pile in front of Patrick kept growing but Sascha was keeping up although his piles where not as high.

Concentration

For the last game Patrick was big blind. Sasha slowplayed a pair of Aces before the flop. The flop came with two sixes and a Deuce! Guess what the Patrick had. Yeah, Six-Deuce! Imagine the embarrassment for Sasha when the cards got turned over. He did have a shot at one of the two remaining Aces to make Aces full of Sixes but he did get it and lost the game.So Patrick was the champ of the nights game. We packed it up and went to Teckle Meckle. It was cool to introduce Mikkel to the rest of the gang and we had a great night clubbing.Next day we went for the classic tour of Prague with Helge and saw all the sites. It was a much more relaxing day than the previous – we needed to get the poker and the alcohol out of the body. In the morning we walked to the Royal Gardens of Prague Castle, then on to Letna Park. From Letna park one can get excellent views over Prague. From there we kept on going to the Yellow Market in Prague. This is a big Vietnamese market where you can find a lot of interesting stuff.
